Who are we
Our community here at Living Hope Christian Church came together through a shared longing to know and experience the only true God and His Son, Jesus Christ. Many of us first met during a Unitarian Christian Alliance conference held in November 2024 in New Zealand, which sparked the idea of establishing a church in Cambridge, NZ. Shortly after, we began gathering regularly, and with the invaluable support of our sister churches in Latham, NY, and Louisville, KY, we embarked on the journey to bring this vision to life.
With lots of hard work, and the guidance of our gracious God, Living Hope officially launched in July 2025, and our small but passionate community remains excited to see what God will continue to do in the coming years as we strive to serve and honour Him.
Our Story
Our purpose is to express our love for God, through faithful service and obedience to His commandments. In all that we do, our desire is to honour and glorify our Creator and follow the example of His Son, Jesus Christ, our Lord.
(Matthew 22:37-38; I Pet.4:11; I Cor.10:31; John 13:15;)
OUR PURPOSE
Our mission is being and making faithful and obedient disciples of Jesus Christ. We believe in sharing Christ and his Gospel with love to willing listeners, while striving to show God’s love within our community, fostering reconciliation with God. We aim to nurture and equip believers in their faith journey, motivate them to grow in obedience and encourage the use of their gifts to serve others with love.
(Matt. 28:19-20, Eph. 4:15; I Thes. 2:8; Acts 1:8; Rom. 10:14-15, Matt. 5:16; Gal. 6:9-10; Rom.12:9-10; I John.3:18, Heb.10:24-25; I Thes. 5:11; Romans 15:1-2, Matthew 7:24-25; John 8:31-32, 2 Peter 3:18)
OUR MISSION
Our vision is to build a Scripture-based community marked by warmth and love that diligently follows the teachings of Christ. We aim to be a beacon of truth, guiding seekers to deepen their knowledge of God and Christ, and to live a transformed life dedicated to serving God and others. We aspire to be a place where people can safely ask questions and explore their faith, while feeling loved, cared for, and valued.
